Farmhouse curtains are not the only decorative products available on the market.
Some homes have been made from salvaged furniture or metal and even some have been designed from a scrap of the interior walls of a barn.
But, as of July, you’ll no longer need to buy a new home to make a curtain from fabric, wool, fabric-dyed leather, plastic or wood scraps.
Here are some tips to help you decide which items are the best for making a curtain.1.
Buy a good, durable fabric to make the curtain.2.
Buy at least four or five yards of fabric to use for your curtain.3.
Select fabrics that have a good amount of stretch and don’t stretch or get brittle.4.
Select colors that look great on the curtain and look good in the house.5.
Make sure the curtain is durable enough for your decorating needs.6.
Make your curtains at least 12 inches wide by 18 inches long.7.

If your curtain is on a table or counter, you may need to cut out a little piece for the table.11.
Use some fabric to hang it.12.

You should also avoid using old furniture or any materials that are fragile or prone to damage.20.
You don’t have to use your entire home to decorate a curtain, but if you have space, you might be able to use some leftover fabric.21.
